New Office + New Team

Dec 22, 2016 | Practice

We started out in an incubator space in September, and quickly realized we needed more room to grow. In November we moved downstairs, and we’re loving our new space. A handful of talented folks have joined the team this fall. With experience in mixed use developments, corporate headquarters, and beautiful residential design, we’re thrilled to have them on board.

DONOVAN WEBER has a wide range of experience in the design and construction world. This breadth of knowledge started with earning a construction technology degree at Manual Career and Technical Center in Kansas City. Hands on experience with the building trade continued for Donovan as he worked various carpentry and construction jobs during his college education. After graduating from the University of Missouri in 2007 with a degree in Architectural Studies, Donovan moved to San Francisco and started a design consulting business. Clients he served as a consultant included firms in the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, construction, fabrication, lighting, interiors and marketing. Donovan has the unique ability to understand a project from the perspective of its many contributors – from the laborers all the way up the ladder to the owners.  Donovan joined Odimo in June of 2016 and is wrapping up his Masters in Architecture from the University of Kansas in the spring of 2017. Ask him about coffee. He has good taste.

HANNAH UNDERWOOD brings her design background and management experience to our commercial design projects through a focus on functionality within the design. She is set to graduate with a Master of Architecture degree at the University of Kansas in the Spring of 2018 and is currently furthering her education in a Bachelor’s of Business Marketing. She is currently Vice President and Founder of the University of Kansas Kappa Chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa for women in technical studies and completed her Spring of 2016 semester as one of the project managers of the dirt works design/build program at KU. She aspires to be certified in health and wellness and historic preservation upon graduation. Hannah joined Odimo in August of 2016, and we can’t wait to see how she continues to grow as a designer and practice leader. Watch out world!

LAURIE WHITE has worked on a variety of projects from restaurants to public work to mixed use developments. This includes work done while at firms in NYC, Boston, Cincinnati, and Kansas City.  With a particular talent in 3D imaging, she bridges planning, architecture and graphics to build environments that work at every scale. Laurie is known for her quick sketches, and quick 3D models, always making sure everyone can fully understand all aspects of the project. Whether she is presenting to the city, or talking though accomplishing your wildest dreams – she gets people excited about their projects. Laurie graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture in 2012. She joined Odimo in November of 2016 and splits her time with us and Floc5, bridging our collaborative work in retail.

MANDY MOORE, LEED AP  has pursued experiences ranging from building a research facility with her own hands to traveling half way across the globe to work with robots and create research pavilions. While these experiences are not typical of her every day, they provided her with the ability to problem solve and create solutions for her clients. Not afraid to tackle a challenge head on, she’s ready to make a change in the community by offering honest, well-crafted architecture and interiors.  Mandy holds a Bachelors of Interior Design from Texas State University and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Kansas. She also received her Masters of Art in Architecture in 2014 from the Universitat Stuttgart, Germany. Mandy joined us in November of 2016 and has brought an unmatched rigor to our studio.. and a great jazz selection.
