Leadership in Interdisciplinary Design + Workplace: Ashley Perrin joins Odimo
As part of our strategic growth in workplace design, we are delighted to welcome Ashley Perrin to Odimo. With experience in university, commercial, and non-profit projects, Ashley brings unique interdisciplinary interior design and architectural leadership to our team. Ashley’s design approach focuses on people, resulting in healthier built environments and a commitment to all aspects of sustainability. She will be leading projects with an emphasis on design excellence and will further elevate our expertise in workplace design.
Ashley maintains a personal design philosophy. “I believe that as designers we must use our understanding of the world to create meaningful design that speaks to the culture of a place as well as the embodied experience of its inhabitants. We are not designing for other architects, we are not designing a visually beautiful building but rather a beautifully rich experience of a place, that supports all senses of the mind.”
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the University of Central Missouri and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas. Her decision to pursue a career in architecture and design is a remarkable combination of her intrinsic interests, significant mentoring relationships, and opportunities to engage in creative problem solving throughout her life.
We have been following Ashley’s career for many years and are thrilled she’s chosen to merge her path with the Odimo team. Her leadership in interdisciplinary design will further our work to translate our client’s needs and vision into beautiful, meaningful spaces. As Charles Eames said, “Eventually everything connects – people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality.”
